Elkhorn Trap is a club sport that was established in 2012 with primarily Elkhorn South High School students.  We now have participants from both Elkhorn high schools and most Elkhorn middle schools along with various surrounding schools.  Elkhorn Trap is a program designed to teach firearm safety, develop teamwork, sportsmanship and responsibility while developing positive life skills.  The Elkhorn Trap Team participates in the North Division of the Eastern Cornhusker Trap Conference concluding with the Cornhusker State Shoot at Doniphan, Nebraska each year.  Our student athletes also participate as individuals in the American Trapshooting Association, WASP-B and other independent events as well.  Trapshooting is unique in that it is a gender equal sport.  It is open to any 6th-12th grade boy or girl.  Trapshooting is a sport that can be shared with family and friends and enjoyed for a lifetime.
